Yea, use some olive oil as lube and slide it in there. Hammer it down with a piece of wood As far as you can. Yea. We are on the same page so far. Nice and tight, AND it will be “FUN” to do.. This is an awesome video. He was successful at getting the hose on the roof finally. Denise should have been up on the roof helping you feed that hose. Grabbing it. Laying it down. All EVOO. Not a 1 man job. I cant wait for part 2. One question… why is Denise wearing a winter skull cap? In Florida? hmm

I look at this whole off grid thing in a different perspective regardless of who is right or incorrect about global warming. My reason is to stop feeding Monopolies who control every aspect of our lives. Other than yourself, do you really have another choice of utility provider in your local communities other than moving somewhere else much further away from where you live. Most people don’t even see these problems right in front of them. Comfortably numb they are!

Probably they should be investigating new ways to save energy before they spend vast amounts of money. A case in point is that in 2005 the Government, Market Transformation Program had tests made on a new type of cleaner that employs Air Recycling Technology. The results show that it could save 1.5 Terawatt (1,500 Gigawatt) each year in the UK alone. Simply, by changing the type of cleaner we use in our homes. It was originally designed to remove health hazards inherent in the vacuum cleaner.

Excellent thought!
I have two boiler tanks (100 liters each) painted black and placed on the roof ,takes 2 to 3 h to heat up to 50° C.

My impression I am getting is you don’t like anything to do with saving the environment even if would save you money without reducing quality of life (sounds extreme to me)
You brought up the global warming term I was just responding to you.
the question about climate change is not whether it is changing. it is are WE causing it.
And CO2 levels have been going up and the amount of IR radiation measured by satellites in the CO2 adsorption band has been going down as a result.

My comments extreme? Maybe that’s because you’re so far left. The issue of global warming is all but dead…or haven’t you heard? It’s now called climate change by the very people of science you claim are behind it. Let me enlighten you (if that’s possible) our planet and the universe are forever changing, it’s been that way since the huge bang and will remain that way until the end. Oops, I didn’t mean to break it to you so abruptly but yes there will be an end of time, so get use to it.
April 17th, 2010 at 7:54 am
extreme is what I use to describe your comment.
And where in this video did the environment get brought up? The 1st mention I see is you with Al Gore,
The issue of global warming has most of the science behind it. And if the main part of your comment is about global warming I invite you to tell me why this decade was one of the warmest despite the sun being the coolest in a while.

catprog: Extreme is the word you use to describe a normal person? Says a lot about where you’re coming from. I brought Al’s name up because he’s as phony as your harm the environment babble, that is so easily used by his followers. I don’t like phony people cashing in on trumped up issues like “Global Warming.” No one in their right mind would argue that getting off fossil fuels is a terrible thing, it’s just that some fools go over board on how to do it and Al just happens to be their leader.

*Extreme left vs your extreme right*
Am I to assume that even if would save you money if Al Gore would support it you wouldn’t?
*realistic view*
We have to use electricity ,cars and other things like that. If you can save money , help(or at least not harm) the environment without educing your quality of life who cares whether Al Gore or the miners support you.
Simple things can help and this is one of them.
(or there was no need to bring up Al Gore in the comment in the 1st place)
April 17th, 2010 at 9:32 am
catprog: So I’m to assume that you don’t drive a car, use mass transit, or live in a place that fails to provide electric or gas utilities? Yep, go ahead and sent Al your contributions, he thrives on delusional people such as you.
April 17th, 2010 at 10:12 am
as opposed to people like you without who the coal and oil companies would be unemployed?
April 17th, 2010 at 10:55 am
Yep, once again Al Gore would have been proud. These are the people who have made him a very rich man…without them he would just be an unemployed piece of crap.
April 17th, 2010 at 11:09 am
i’m pretty sure you could wrap that plastic piping around her and make about 1000 gallons of hot water a day!
April 17th, 2010 at 11:25 am
Ha! I like it! Nothing like a well laid plot never going , well, as plotted! I had teh same issues when I was building a similar heater for my pool last year. Anone who has tried this knows first hand… Kudos, dan!

Place a thin piece of plywood down. Run sruts from the center out that have cuts that the hose can snap into. You could make the struts that really could make the hose snap into and out of them. Just watching I came up with this. Without watching your next vid on this yet. Now I will see if you did that. Ha ha. A dog interrupted you.
April 17th, 2010 at 11:49 am
I have a kettle. it runs on electricity. it works well.
April 17th, 2010 at 12:21 pm
This was hilarious! It ain’t easy to get it in one take!
Keep up the excellent work!
