Chemistry lab is the place where sensitive liquids are mixed, researched and experimented for derivations and possible inventions. Like every other lab chemistry lab too has certain special tools and equipments for exclusive chemistry based experiments. Mentioned below are the various chemistry lab equipments and their respective uses. Take a look:

Beaker

Beakers refer to the large, glass sized cups used for holding large amounts of solution. Generally, these are made up of plastic or tempered glass and has wide mouth for pouring the solutions easily . Most often these beakers are used for experiments like chromatography.

Vials

Vials are the smaller versions of beaker and are used for holding or measuring small amount of liquids. These are generally used when a liquid is needed to be added in the form of small droplets.

Test Tube

Test tubes refer to the long glass tubes used for observing reactions or heating chemicals.

Pipets

Pipets are the tiny disposable equipments used for adding droplets of a liquid in another vessel like a beaker, flask or vial. These tools have to be discarded after each use as there’s no way to clean it thoroughly after a use.

The Erlenmeyer Flask

The Erlenmeyer flask resembles a lot to a beaker, with the only difference that it has a narrow mouth opening so as to place a stopper onto its mouth. It is used for heating chemicals and maintaining the vapor within the vessel.

Centrifuge

A centrifuge is an equipment which spins at such a rapid speed that the materials within the vial solutions separate. It so happens that the heavier objects settle down to the bottom of the vial while the lighter material afloat at the top. It is often used while doing a DNA analysis.

Usual Trouble Spots in DIY Home Improvement

Many people want to get in on DIY home improvement. Curiosity might have killed the cat, but curiosity for individuals who engage in DIY home improvement is gold. The reason for this is that often, curiosity is the strongest “hook” in every DIY home improvement project.

Fascinatingly enough, this curiosity pushes people to pursue seemingly daunting tasks: replacing the electric gate closer, repairing faulty electric wiring, fixing broken furniture, replacing worn-out parts of the wall, etc. Though the general success rate for these attempts varies, there remains the fact that many people continue with their DIY projects, sacrificing time and cash just to complete a project.

The pleasure is in the making, as they always say. But, there would be less distress ahead if common distress issues are known and avoided.

The usual distress spots

1. Willingness to end- no DIY home improvement project would prosper if you are not willing to “attack” a project until its logical conclusion. DIY sometimes has a terrible name because some people start two or three projects and abandon them midway.

What happens when a person treads on the perilous territory of DIY home improvement laziness? The house will be in shambles, or at least will suffer from a lot of clutter.

One should not sacrifice the beauty of a home to do it yourself shenanigans. If you don’t have enough will power to really replace the door that you just forcefully removed with your power drill, then perhaps it’s time that you place it back to where it was before.

Never start a huge project that you cannot end at all. To do so would be a waste of valuable resources.

2. Lack of skill- let’s face it. Not everything in life could be achieved through sheer willpower alone. You should take time to learn and develop the necessary skills as well.

If you have no prior experience with carpentry, that can be remedied by studying the basics of carpentry. If you don’t know how to tinker with the electrical system of your house, then that’s okay, do your research first before you start pulling out the wires from their rightful places within the walls.

DIY or do it yourself is not guesswork- its far from it. In its best manifestation, do it yourself is the application of what you learned on your own so far. Though some people might consider it play, it really isn’t. DIY home improvement is not about messing around with a few pieces of wood and some nails, laughing about how horrible the finished product is and throwing away the product of your labor.

This pervading mindset in DIY is harmful in many ways- first, it tarnishes the very basic precepts of DIY, and furthermore, it defeats the purpose of “doing it yourself”. If you go about it like a simple school project, chances are you would be wasting cash on something that you should have just bought in a shopping mall or a department store.

Air Tools: Why do you need them and what are their benefits

Whether you own a luxury car like BMW or a tough vehicle like truck, maintenance is prime concern. And for maintaining these vehicles what is most vital is the right kind of tools. Well, these days’ air tools are used very commonly and extensively for both automobile as well as industrial purposes. Now, if you don’t know about these air tools then no worries read through and become familiar with these power tools.

Air tools or Pneumatic tools are the tools that are driven by gas and are armed with a compressor which allow you to perform a wide variety of jobs.  Usually air tools are driven by compressed air which is supplied by a gas compressor. These air tools can also be driven by compressed carbon dioxide which is generally kept in small cylinders. These tools are cheaper and safer to use than electric power tools. These tools are usually smaller in size and lighter in weight which makes them easy to carry. These air tools are fantastic tools which can complete any tough task with lot of ease. For years, it was believed that owning these air tools is quite expensive and setting up an air system is just too much of a task. Fortunately, today setting up air system is no more an expensive deal. You can easily get started with just the basic equipment and gradually add air tools as and when you need them. Few of the tools which can make the air tool kit nearly complete are air ratchets, air impact wrenches, air drills, air sanders, air die grinders, air buffers, blow guns, air saws and air hammers.

If you are having a BMW and looking for appropriate tools for your car then you don’t need to worry for that. Whether you are working on BMW model 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3, X5, X6, Z4 or M Series, you will find the right tool for all your auto repair needs. You will find a large selection of BMW tools as well as other mechanic tools and equipment at different online stores.

Whether you want air tools or BMW tools, simply go online and buy these tools and maintain your vehicle properly and have a safe drive.

Home Security Expert: Delivers One-of-a-Kind Perspective on Fighting Home Invasions

Jordan Frankel, the Founder and Executive Vice President of Global Security Experts Inc. (GSE), the nation’s leading manufacturer of proprietary security solutions for homeowners and businesses, starts a new chapter in his career. A security expert, product inventor and published author, Mr. Frankel now offers customized, one-on-one training and private seminars for families and neighborhood associations that can benefit from this proven brand of crime prevention.  These exclusive, private seminars typically accommodate up to 50 people per meeting. By partnering with neighborhood associations across the US, access to Mr. Frankel and his brand of security prevention is very affordable, costing as small as ,500 per day. This fee represents significant savings, considering the fact that private corporations worldwide pay up to ,000 per day for Mr. Frankel’s security recommendations and services.

With twenty-plus years as a both protégée and mentor, Mr. Frankel is known throughout the crime prevention industry as the Security Sensei. His proven yet somewhat unorthodox approach to outsmarting the proverbial terrible guys is the reason both law enforcement, home owners and the media turn to Mr. Frankel for certified techniques to combat today’s rash of violent home invasions and burglaries. Mr. Frankel`s clients include the American Stock Exchange, Department of Defense, Boeing, Best Buy, the Jimmy Carter Presidential Center and the U.S. military.

Over the years Mr. Frankel was often granted unprecedented access to home invasion and burglary victims, allowing him to interview both the families and law enforcement immediately following the crime. This is crucial on many fronts. First, reviewing the “Point of Penetration” (POP) zone before the hurt door and deadbolt are repaired is essential in preventing the same type of forced entry in the future. And secondly, meeting with family members allows Mr. Frankel to offer expert security advice as to affordable security upgrades and better overall security preparation.

Mr. Frankel is also a published author and security products inventor. His most recent invention, the patented OnGARD™ security/door brace, is the result of 5 years of exhaustive testing, a major undertaking designed to prevent the national epidemic of home invasions and burglaries.

Additionally, Mr. Frankel is a frequent media guest and author for top industry publications like Security Management Magazine, SecurityInfoWatch.com and The International Association of Counterterrorism and Security Professionals Magazine.  Many of Mr. Frankel’s security products, including his glass protection film, delight in national exposure on television programs hosted by Oprah Winfrey and Rachel Ray. In fact, Mr. Frankel is the founder of one the largest privately held glass protection firms in the United States, the subject of favorable print and electronic profiles in many business outlets.

Mr. Frankel states: “My passion for security is a lifelong pursuit, honed by extensive experience around the world. Here in the States, I know that homeowners – through no fault of their own – are vulnerable to attack from common criminals, home invaders and robbers. That’s why I’ve turned my attention to helping homeowners because the only recourse these people currently have is to buy costly but ineffective ‘security’ products or hope tragedy doesn’t strike. The only way to improve this situation is if I devote my time – and I am doing just that -sitting down with neighborhood associations and offering them the years of exclusive knowledge I possess.”

Mr. Frankel is now available to help homeowners with the following security issues:

Home Security Inspections: Private security consultations for homeowners and renters with limited budgets.

Customized one-on-one training and seminars with families, neighborhood associations and builders, to implement security solutions and procedures.

Design and construction of affordable, certified safe rooms (“The Safe-Space™”), converting ordinary walk-in closets or spaces into protected havens from robberies and home invasions.

Jeffrey Dingle, a federal law enforcement trainer, Certified Protection Professional and former Director of Protective Operations for the Jimmy Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta, says: “Having worked with Mr. Frankel for more than 15 years, I can attest to his reputation as an innovator in the security industry.  Mr. Frankel continues to research, innovate and offer affordable residential security solutions to families worldwide. GSE`s new  ‘Security for Everyone’ program is something only Mr. Frankel can offer, because he has the credibility – and proventrack record – to make a Home Security Makeover that is original, affordable and practical.Mr. Frankel also has an inherently creative approach to personal security, which is responsible for the numerous patents he receives for his products as well as the acclaim he enjoys from media worldwide.”
