With numerous developments becoming build complete in Cyprus huge name developers are looking to help their customers make furnishing their properties as easy and inexpensive as possible.

Mark Sykes, Operations Director commented “When evaluating furniture suppliers, they looked at a number of points, including style, quality and durability, speed of delivery, price but most importantly service.” Mark went on to say “People remember things like whether their property was ready to let out on time, or whether it was left clean and tidy.”

Mark clarified that he and his fellow directors had spent several months working with the major developers and a team of Interior Designers to place together a range of exceptionally stylish excellent quality furniture at a very keen price.

Mark also clarified that the business was founded on the back of their own frustrating experience of furnishing properties in Cyprus so needless to say we are attentive, punctual and excellent value which sounds obvious but then aren’t all the best thoughts?

Landscape Achitecture

Landscape architecture speaks for itself. You can see it in professionally-designed residential properties, public parks and playgrounds, parkways and golf courses. The purpose of landscape architecture is to make spaces that are functional and gorgeous. Residential landscape architects plot the location of flowers, shrubs, and trees, and the arrangement of hardscape elements, such as outdoor water fountains, arbors and gazebos, and luxury swimming pools. They are also charged with designing and plotting landscapes that suit the natural environment and conditions.

Landscape Architects: Background

Who can deliver landscape design? To become a landscape architect usually requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are two undergraduate professional degrees: a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) and a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA). Typically, these degrees entail four or five years of study in design, construction techniques, art, history, and natural and social sciences.

For landscape architects seeking advanced degrees, there are two routes. Those who hold undergraduate degrees in landscape architecture can earn their Masters (MLA) in two years. If you hold an undergraduate degree in a field other than landscape architecture and want to go into landscape architecture, the MLA usually takes three years of full-time study.

In 2007, 61 U.S. colleges and universities offered 79 undergraduate and graduate programs in landscape architecture that were accredited by the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

The Steps

Working with home architects, surveyors, engineers and contractors, landscape architects help determine the best arrangement of the property’s elements. Landscape architects, in collaboration with these professionals, make detailed plans indicating new topography, vegetation, walkways, and other landscaping details, such as outdoor kitchens, gate placement and other decorative features.

In the preliminary stages, landscape architects first study the project as a whole. They consider the wants and needs of the homeowner and the available budget. They analyze the natural elements of the site, such as the climate, soil, slope of the land, drainage, and vegetation; observe where sunlight falls on the site at different times of the day and different times of the year; and assess the effect of the existing neighborhood, roads, walkways, and utilities.

The next step in the process is the conceptual design phase that develops out of the meeting notes, site analysis, program of uses, and the architect’s experience. At this conceptual level, a landscape architect conveys the overall design intent, such as the general use areas and their sizes, material choices, irrigation systems, drainage systems, lawn areas, and plantings. An overall cost study is developed from the conceptual landscaping design as well.

Once you have agreed on the overall design intent, sizes of use areas, general material selections and their applications, you are ready to start the landscaping design development and construction phase. The documentation for this phase includes landscaping design drawings for permitting, drawings to convey final design intent, and construction documents, which include specifications for materials and their installation.

These drawings may be accompanied by a full package of additional drawings to include an existing site survey, elevation plot, a plot for tree disposition and tree preservation, landscape planting plot, landscape lighting plot, and construction details for the above plans.

Backyard Storage Unit – Safe Yard Equipment Storage

Outdoor storage sheds are fantastic for anything from the kids’ bikes and skateboards to gardening equipment and tools can be stored in outdoor storage sheds. They are ideal for storing recreational objects like boats, campers, motorcycles, and classic cars. An outdoor storage shed with a loft is more cost effective. Anything that won’t fit in the garage can be dumped in the outdoor storage sheds. Different models of outdoor storage sheds are available in the market.

With maximum usable interior space, some models are best suited for grain and livestock storage, as backyard workshops, for boat and automobile storage, and more. Other models are perfect for warehouses, distribution centers, storage sheds, and more. For a backyard, garage or workshop, a single or multiple car garages, equipment shelter, and more other options might be more efficient.

The material used to build the storage shed will determine its look and cost. Some of the choices of materials are metal, vinyl-sided, and mini barns are some of the types of outdoor storage sheds. Metal outdoor sheds are available in different sizes and colors. They are used for storing gardening tools, lawn equipment, work tools, pool toys, winter sleds, and miscellaneous things that are found in yards. For homeowners and business purposes, vinyl-sided outdoor storage sheds are ideal solutions. Mini barns are also a excellent choice. Frame sheds are one of the most well loved outdoor storage sheds used for storing bicycles, tools, garden equipment and more.

Many people find that the accumulation of miscellaneous holiday, garden and yard equipment packs their garage too full for them to park their car or their attic is so stuffed that they can’t get around to find what they need. A backyard shed is the perfect solution to an overstuffed garage or attic. It will help provide the additional space you need while adding style and appeal to your house and yard.

You can buy sheds in just about any size, style and variety. But, if you can’t find a shed that tickles your fancy, you can always choose to build your own. Building your own backyard shed can be easy and affordable. Of course, there are also many ready-to-assemble backyard sheds that are also easy and affordable. Look over the market carefully before you choose whether to buy a backyard shed or build your own.

Backyard storage units can hold anything from your lawnmower and gardening tools to motorcycles and toolboxes. But, storage sheds do not just need to be used for storage. They can be a perfect place for a workshop for leisure activities or crafts. A shed can also be easily converted into a playhouse for kids of any age. Your backyard shed could even be furnished to provide a backyard getaway or retreat.

There are virtually limitless possibilities for additional accessories to customize your backyard storage unit. Ramps can help if you are moving wheeled items in and out of the shed. Shelves and workbenches make more storage space and help in organization. Windows or skylights can help provide beneficial and natural light instead of or in addition to electric lighting. Lofts can also increase storage area and help with organization.

Whether building your own backyard storage unit or purchasing a backyard shed that is ready-to-assemble, you should place some thought into what you really want first. Determine the size requirements you need and the material that best suits your style and your budget. Backyard sheds can be very expensive to very cheap. You want durability in addition to affordability, so you will have a gorgeous backyard shed that you can be proud of for years to come.

If you have a family with several kids you’ve probably accumulated lots of items over the years that have place your home on overfill. You might reckon you need a larger house when in fact all you really need is some extra outdoor storage. You might even have rooms that are so packed with stuff that they are called your “off limits” rooms. You’re embarrassed to show anyone these rooms because they’re really disorganized. When you want to find something you know it’s in the garage but you don’t have the energy to search for it.

Before you build your backyard storage shed, check with your local authorities (ie county, city offices and homeowners association) for relevant building permits. You may have to submit your storage unit plans for formal approval before you build. In the long run it will sure be worth the work.

DIY or Hire a Market Research Company?

Are you thinking about a market research project? If so, you may be debating whether you should hire an outside market research agency or do it in-house.

Of course, working with a market research agency is a huge investment. Depending on the scope of your project, you may be looking at a ,000, 0,000 or greater budget.  Then again, a DIY approach can also add up—perhaps far more than you expect.

In reality, the “cost” of a DIY project is not just the out of pocket expenses; it’s the time it takes to do it well. I have seen many clients choose to pursue a DIY, and then find out the hard way that they didn’t have the skills or time to design, implement and deliver results. Weeks evaporate, and they are left with a failed project.

[BTW, a tangent here...I notice that on Google, "market research company" is searched for about 10 times more than "market research agency."  Of course, they are the same thing, though market research companies do refer to themselves as "agencies."]

So how do you make this huge choice: to do it yourself, or hire an agency?  Thanks to fantastic online tools like SurveyMonkey, Wufoo and Zoomerang, DIY is certainly an option. DIY is best used when the following conditions are met:

You are confident that you can write a questionnaire such that it will capture information objectively (and this may be the case if you are tackling a narrow topic and you really only need to question, for example, eight to ten questions) You realistically have time to do the project management in-house You have the tools and skills in-house to clean the collected data and analyze it You have resources in-house that can report the findings in a way that will be credible to your internal colleagues You have access to a quality sample source (the people who will be qualified to take your questionnaire) You don’t need the research to be blind (you are willing to reveal your company as the sponsor)

If these conditions are all right, then choosing a DIY approach may be fine.  But if not, it’s time to hire a market research agency.

Here are some resources to help your with the process:
