It was very easy to assemble. I used it to cut a trench around my new back yard flower beds to install landscape edging. It did not dig deep enough to completely bury my four inch edging, but with two or three runs over each area it broke up the soil enough to make it honestly easy for my volunteer crew of friends to use a spade and push the edging all the way in. I ran the trencher, and found it very easy to use. The tradeoff of a gasoline motor for a cord is worth it for someone who despises wrestling with pull starts. The Edgehog is designed so the cord does not get in the way. I have some issues with my lower back and even my battery powered string trimmer gets tiring after awhile. The Edgehog rests on the ground and is easy to use. I am going to use it for several other projects, including redoing the edging around my front flower beds, and breaking soil for a French drain. I have friends who want to borrow it. I would certainly buy this product again. It would be worth it at the full price. I would give it five stars if the blade were longer.

This product was received in a timely manner and was as described. I have used it once and it performed well. The only negative is the height of the handle. I am six foot two and to reach the handle I have to bend over. It would be nice if it were adjustable for different persons heights, but I bought it as is and shouldn’t complain, it does cut well and leaves a nice finished product.
