I remember seeing them at the ancient 930 club in DC in the States. Nobody I knew wanted to go down to see them with me so I went by myself. First time in DC by myself. A small intimidated. Must have given $20 to bums before I even got into the place.

I’m an ancient Rush,Yes,Genesis,ELP,Floyd,Zep ,DPurple,Tull,Suptramp, you name it, back in 1994 at a musicland store in Dallas Tx. I heard a demo which I immediately fell in like with, it was KOD Cowboys and Aliens, and I bought all their collection, I like to listen to this band, It’s such a shame they disintegrated, very underrated, it is simply, excelent music !

Yes, I remember him telling the tale – and I’m always reminded of it every time I hear the song.

is that a right tale. i feel terrible when i hear of people doing that to their “loved” one. it had never happened to me because ive never been in like, ever. so i have never “went in” with anyone. woe is me. poor patrick, too.

They opened at reading in 94 (?). Was right down the front – but I didn’t reckon there were that many people there! Patrick said at a gig I went to that this song was about some guy he’d fallen in like with and went in with – and then one day he came home and found he had just packed up and gone. Fantastic song, superb band.

Thought it might have been Glastonbury, but I reckon goodtaste101 is right, it’s most likely Reading ’94.

this was reading in 94 i reckon. criminally they were scheduled at noon, or maybe 1230. i wept like a child through the whole set!

Perfect example of how a KOD song evolves from one feel to another. Starts as a kinda wimpy sounding song, then slowly it reaches a powerful ending. This live performance is brilliant.
