I played this as a cover when I was younger…I’m a bass player and sung Dave Gilmour’s parts, which was helped by the ease of the bass line…Also, coming from Cambridge, the same town as Gilmore, I have the same accent, if not the same voice!
I like this version though… It would be easy to over-perform it Celine Dion style, but you retained the spirit of the song.

But my artiest chose he would sign with a no name rich guy who has not a clue about music biz. My poor young artist was promised monthly beer money so he signed.
