This is really cool!
I don’t own enough books to justify buying one and it’s way out of my budget, but I like the thought.
I want to buy books in PDF format, but nobody sells PDFs because they can be easily copied and redistributed.
Well that’s the point! I can back them up, use them on multiple devices, etc.
The Kindle is fantastic except who wants to start a book collection in the Kindle format and be locked in with DRM?
Don’t get me started on the iPad.
There is no ideal way to buy books.

Do you know what’s scanning technology used for national archives?

I’m still confused. Tell me why again why only 5% of all book companies hasn’t gone digital yet again? The way I see it if everyone had one of these they could recopy all originals reduce costs by 75% by eliminating shipping, production, and personnel cost if they went digital like this, so why are book companies frowning on this? I mean Amazon is trying their best to convince these people to do it and not very many are considering it or even do it, and here people are buying eBooks for $300
